Meta introduced Ray-Ban Meta Audio at Connect 2026, its first pair of camera-free audio glasses and a new lower-complexity branch of the company’s AI glasses lineup.
43 grams and up to 12 hours of use
The glasses weigh about 43 grams and provide up to 12 hours of use on a charge. The included case adds up to another 48 hours. Meta is launching Clubmaster and Burbank frames with 23 color and lens combinations.
No camera by design
Unlike Ray-Ban Meta models built around hands-free photo and video capture, Meta Audio removes the camera entirely. The focus is music, podcasts, calls, live translation and hands-free interaction with Meta’s AI assistant.
$349 in the U.S., shipping October 13
U.S. preorders are open now at a starting price of $349, with shipments beginning October 13. Meta says availability will expand to more countries over time.
KX3 perspective
The product is a useful example of subtraction as product design. An always-worn AI device may become more useful by dropping rarely needed hardware, reducing weight and extending battery life rather than competing on the longest feature list.
