KX3 News — U.S. / Global Edition

Adobe is bringing its professional creative tools directly into Google Gemini while expanding its Claude integration with Acrobat and more hands-on editing controls. Adobe announced the expansion on September 24, 2026, as part of a broader push to make Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Express, Firefly and Acrobat available inside the AI assistants people already use.

Adobe tools are now coming to Gemini

Adobe says its Gemini integration is rolling out globally beginning September 24 and is available across all Gemini plans. Users can connect Adobe under Gemini’s Connected Apps and then call on Photoshop, Lightroom, Express and Firefly capabilities from a conversation. An Adobe account is required, but Adobe says users can create one for free.

Google separately announced a new wave of Gemini Connected Apps, including Adobe, alongside productivity, creative and lifestyle services. The broader change reflects Google’s effort to turn Gemini from a standalone chatbot into a hub that can invoke outside services without forcing users to jump between apps.

Claude gets Acrobat and more direct editing

Adobe is also expanding its Claude plugin. Acrobat tools are being added alongside Adobe’s existing creative tools, and users can make more interactive edits to PDFs and Adobe Express designs directly inside Claude. Adobe says the updated plugin is rolling out globally on Claude and Claude Code across desktop, mobile and web.

What this means for U.S. users

For U.S. users, the biggest change is workflow: image editing, design work and PDF tasks can increasingly begin inside the same conversational interface used for research, planning or coding. Rather than asking an AI assistant for instructions and then switching to a separate editor, the assistant can call Adobe’s own tools as part of the task.

Adobe has not announced a separate U.S.-only price for this integration. Availability is tied to the relevant Gemini or Claude service and Adobe account access, while individual Adobe products and premium usage may still be governed by their own plans and limits.

KX3 perspective

The important shift is not simply that more AI features exist. It is that established apps are becoming callable components inside general-purpose AI assistants. For products built around local or hybrid AI, this suggests an increasingly important design pattern: keep specialized tools modular, then let an AI layer orchestrate them when needed instead of rebuilding every capability inside one model.
